I was outdoors most days in the past two weeks and enjoyed the last bit of autumn leaf colours. Maple, birch, oak, ginkgo, and staghorn sumac trees put on a spectacular show.
Here are a few of my photos from various bike rides and walks in downtown Toronto. They are my entry to Denzil Nature’s Autumn Colours and Terri’s Leaves of Autumn photo challenges.
Autumn Leaves
Public Art
Since Remembrance Day, November 11, is on this weekend, I’m sharing the Toronto sign with a poppy insert in front of Toronto City Hall. The sign looks nicer when it is lit up at night. The pool in front of the sign has been emptied to be turned into an ice skating rink for the winter season.
Weekend Coffee Share
I’d love for you to share your week’s highlights and/ or photos of public art around the world in the Comments or Weekend Coffee Share link-up #140 below. I’m also linking up with Min’s WWWHIMSY.

It’s hard to beat the art of fall colors. Our colors down south haven’t been as vibrant this year but it’s still been beautiful nonetheless. I love the Toronto art too. I’ve never been there but would like to go one day!

Those trees are spectacular, and it’s like you aren’t even in the city. Fall is so pretty, and it seems to last so long down there. Colours are long gone out west.

Bernie, Toronto has an amazing ravine system and once you enter one of those ravine trails, it’s like another world, faraway from the city when it’s not far at all. Autumn colours are still beautiful today, more golden than red now.

Beautiful Natalie. I LOVE autumn leaf colors. This fall in the PNW the colors are so much more stunning than I’ve seen them in a long time. No need to take a trip to the NE states…lol.

We went to the lookout tower when we were in Ontario. The treetops were a marvellous wall of colours. I plan to do a post with some pictures of it on my new blog—https://aocottagerentals.wordpress.com/—but I haven’t yet. I’ll share the link when I do.
Happy Saturday, Natalie.

Truly stunning autumn colors you’ve shared, Natalie! You have some spectacular views in your area. The red sumac caught my eye, we have a few trees like that here and I didn’t know their species. The Toronto sign is a beautiful addition. You’re lucky to live in such a beautiful city. Thanks for linking and have a wonderful weekend.

Natalie, this is exactly what I picture when I think of Fall. The cityscape will make a beautiful backdrop to the ice rink in winter. I hope you will show us another photo when it is frozen over and the sign is lighted. Norman Rockwell move over…

Hi Natalie!
You seem to have a later Fall than we do. Our colors are gone and winter is ‘nigh’🫤 Although I’m happy to report that we’re anticipating an unseasonably warm week ahead. Hoping for a couple more bike rides before the bikes get put away for winter.
Have a great week 💜

Spectacular series of fall captures, Natalie! It really warms my deprived heart as I missed this sight when we were in Japan a couple of weeks ago – and certainly no chance in Singapore to enjoy the fall colours!
I love your capture in front of City Hall – the sign and its embellishments is functional and rather pretty. It must be a magical skating rink once winter comes around – will you be skating too?

Ju-Lyn, I’m glad you love these autumn colours. I’m fortunate to see them every year. The skating rink in front of City Hall is very popular in winter. I like watching skaters but don’t skate there as it’s too crowded.

We tried skating in these picturesque rinks one Christmas when we were in London – very very challenging with the crowds!!!

Yes, at the popular skating rinks, it’s more fun (and less chance to get injured) to watch skaters than to skate.

Hi Natalie, what beautiful autumn leaves photos! I absolutely adore that time of year and autumn leaves. Unfortunately, living in tropical Brisbane, Queensland, Australia … we don’t see too many of them! That’s why a lot of my holidays are taken during Autumn and usually south of us so I can get to enjoy the Autumn season to its fullest potential. Thanks so much for linking up with #WWWhimsy xo
