What a beautiful photo, Natalie. It looks like some kind of tunnel that will take you further into the world of those lovely autumnal colours. Are any of those trees oak trees? Enjoy the walk.

Thank you, Hugh. This trail traverses beneath a tree canopy of oaks, maples and beech trees.

There must be lots of acorns scattered around then, Natalie. Winter treats for squirrels, which usually bury them for the winter.

Exactly, Hugh. There are lots of acorns and squirrels on the trail and at this time of year.

    Splendid colours – you’ve caught a cathedral-type of atmosphere.

Fantastic scene, and must be quiet and beautiful walking there. Visited as I found your link on Hugh’s site.

Thank you, Esme, for your visit and comment. Yes, it was beautiful and quiet walking there, aside from the sounds of birds chirping, water running in a creek and leaves crunched beneath my feet.
